At the meeting of the Council on 9 November 1892, the terms of office of eight alderman expired.

The death of Alderman Henry Jennings had been reported to the Council on 26 October 1892.[5]
The resignation of Alderman David MacIver had been reported to the Council on 26 October 1892.[6]
