If sqlite does not actually store decimals, then how can you use it to mock entity framework data context?

Even though I know that my queryable has data that satisfies the below, it still fails, which makes my tests fail as well since I am using sqlite as an in-memory test db.

Here is my queryable, where all values are decimal:

queryable = queryable
.Where(x => x.FahrenheitMin >= tempRange.TemperatureFrom)
.Where(x => x.FahrenheitMax <= tempRange.TemperatureTo);

For some reason my results are just wrong. My research has shown me that sqlite does not actually store decimals and this is likely the reason. In that case it seems to me that sqlite is surely useless for mocking an entity framework data context. Is this a reasonable conclusion?

  • What do you mean by decimal? Sqlite uses ieee754 doubles to store floating point numbers (REAL is the SQL type name).
