Jest: Pass additional headers to XMLHttpRequest
I am trying to set a headers in Jest to a XMLHttpRequest so I can pass cookies since my the endpoint needs to be authenticated.
I thought the obvious solution would be just doing something like this:
(function(send)
XMLHttpRequest.prototype.send = function()
this.setRequestHeader('foo', 'bar');
send.apply(this, arguments);
;
)(XMLHttpRequest.prototype.send);
However, this does not appear to work, the code doesn't even run. If I try adding a console.log does not appear in the console. If I just add this code to the frontend code I see the header being set. The question just is how do I get this to work with Jest? I tried using Jest mocks, but I couldn't get that to work and I can't see if this is actually the correct use case for mocks.
Thanks
