The Metro Spirit is a free alternative news weekly in Augusta, Georgia (USA). The paper is widely available at news stands across the Augusta area. On March 2, 2011, publishing was suspended by then-current managing company Portico Publishing, citing lack of financial performance. The Spirit resumed publishing April 14, under new owner Joe White.[3]
The paper launched a website around 1996.[4][5]
