NPM & Yarn - errors caused by React?

0

I cannot run npm install or npm start. When I try npm install I get the following error:

> aristophanes@1.0.0 postinstall C:UsersAristophanes
> cd packages/react-error-overlay/ && yarn build:prod

bash: line 0: cd: packages/react-error-overlay/: No such file or directory
npm ERR! code ELIFECYCLE

npm ERR! aristophanes@1.0.0 postinstall: `cd packages/react-error-overlay/ && yarn build:prod`
npm ERR! Exit status 1

npm ERR! Failed at the aristophanes@1.0.0 postinstall script.
npm ERR! This is probably not a problem with npm. There is likely additional logging output above.

Global npm package.json: package.json

User directory npm package.json: package.json

I'm not exactly sure when and why this started happening but I think it has something to do with React. I have seen a similar issue where a user said they solved this problem by using Yarn create-react-app/issues#4308. Well, I installed Yarn but yarn start is giving me this error:

$ cd packages/react-scripts && node bin/react-scripts.js start
/d: /d: Is a directory
error Command failed with exit code 126.
info Visit https://yarnpkg.com/en/docs/cli/run for documentation about this command.

my Yarn package.json:

"name": "yarn",
"installationMethod": "choco",
"version": "1.12.3",
"license": "BSD-2-Clause",
"preferGlobal": true,
"description": "📦🐈 Fast, reliable, and secure dependency management.",
"resolutions":

"bin":
"yarn": "./bin/yarn.js",
"yarnpkg": "./bin/yarn.js"
,
"config":

"path": "./node_modules/cz-conventional-changelog"

I haven't been able to get any work done for days now. Nobody seems to know a solution. I even tried switching to Ubuntu but I get similar errors there too.
