Ayesha Khan (born 27 September 1982)[1] is a retired Pakistani television and film actress.[2] Her most popular roles are Mahgul from Khuda Mera Bhi Hai, Noor from Noor-e-Zindagi and Jeena from Mann Mayal.[3]

Career[edit]


Khan made her television debut in 2000 in the drama serial "Tum Yahi Kehna" which aired on PTV. She portrayed the mature and young supportive wife, Sajjal in drama serial Mehndi (drama). Khan went on to work in several drama serials including Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan, Zip Bus Chup Raho, and Parsa. Khan also won the Best actress at Pakistan Media Award in 2010 for her role of Gul in drama serial Haroon tou piya teri.[citation needed] In 2013, Khan also made her film debut in Bilal Lashari's directorial debut film "Waar". She appeared in drama serial Mujhe Khuda Pe Yaqeen Hai in a negative role of Narmeen, a manipulative and miserable wife.


Khan portrayed a young supportive wife in drama serial Mehndi which aired in 2003. She continued working in drama serials such as Khamoshiyaan, Meri Adhoori Mohabbat Majhe Apna Bana Lo, Mehmaan, Mulaaqaat and Ye sooch na tha. In 2009 she appeared in Maasi aur Malika, Man-O-Salwa, and Bol Meeri Machli.


In 2010, Khan appeared in five drama serials, Vasl, Parsa and Chooti si kahani. In 2011, she appeared as Parveen in drama serial Zip Bus Chup raho. She next starred in drama serial Tum ho ke chup and Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan. She also appeared in Kaafir in 2011. In 2013, she starred in Mujhe Khuda Pe Yaqeen Hai and Shukk. She is also a commercial model. She lately appeared in most-watched popular shows such as Mann Mayal, Noor-e-Zindagi, and Khuda Mera Bhi Hai.



Retirement[edit]


In March 2018, Khan announced her retirement from media industry, citing she has "moved onto the next phase of life".[4]



Marriage[edit]


In April 2018, Khan married her fiancé Major Uqbah Hadeed Malik,[5][6] through whom her mother-in-law is PTI MNA Asma Qadeer.[7]
