expose and alter jenkins PGID used to abort

0

Is there a way to alter what PGID is used to kill processes when aborting jobs?

I have two jobs that are using sh to run python in a static directory (there is a reason I am not using workspaces or separate directories) but they are spawned with the same PGID in both jobs, meaning that aborting one job kills the script in the other.

I could forcibly alter the PGID of the process from within the python, but that would then make jenkins unable to kill it no?

Is there a quick and dirty workaround for this?

UPDATE: So changing the GPID actually doesn't prevent jenkins from killing the process, either of them. Changing the GPID of the process in the job that is not being aborted does not protect it from being terminated by the other job when it aborts. This seems to suggest that the list of processes to kill is tied to the Dir block.
