Prevent interpolation into JSON with pyscopg2 .format()
I'm running the below query with psycopg2 in python3.
The problem is that psycopg2 is trying to intetploate into the first ''::json
where I actually want a json returned instead of interpolation.
Then throws the error.
IndexError: tuple index out of range
Query.
query = """
select
rid,
case
when features is not null then
features
else ''::json
end as display_features
from users
where rid in
""".format(user_rids_tuple)
cursor.execute(query)
records = cursor.fetchall()
python-3.x postgresql psycopg2

You should use a%s
parameter instead ofand execute
cursor.execute(query, (param1,))
