SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Universal Accounting Center (UAC), the leader in small business tax training has been approved by the California Tax Education Council (CTEC) to offer the Professional Tax Preparer Program (PTP) as a distance learning course in the state of California. UAC’s recognition from CTEC authenticates the PTP course, showing it is within the “standards, guidelines and procedures” of instruction specific to California tax laws.

Successful completion of the UAC course enables individuals to complete tax returns for a fee in California. Additionally, individuals achieving a score of 90 percent or greater on the PTP’s final exam receive the PTP designation, showing competency in tax preparation for individuals and small businesses.

The course includes 114 hours of self-study taught through the schools patented home study course, allowing students to learn at their own pace. Students receive support from UAC tax professionals for one year.

Universal Accounting Center is a Salt Lake City, Utah based training center offering accounting, bookkeeping, and income tax training and marketing to students throughout the world.

More information about the Universal Accounting Center can be found by calling 1-800-343-4827 or visiting http://www.universaltaxschool.com.
