Amazon AWS EC2 Amazon Linux can't login as ec2-user

Can't login as ec2-user at Amazon Linux, it returns 'key refused', but if i log in as root it logs in, but says i need to login ec2-user. What to do?

Are you sure it's Amazon Linux and not some other AMI?

Yes, I'm using Amazon Linux AMI 2018.03

What's the exact message you get when you try with ec2-user?

"Server refused our key". But when I log in as root it says only "Please login as the user "ec2-user" rather than the user "root"."
