How to get HDFS Name node address inside AWS EMR

0

I want to create a file someconfig.config inside all the nodes of EMR where the content of the file will be like below:-

name_node=http://ip_address_of_namenode.ec2.internal:50070/

This file will be copied to all the nodes after the cluster is created.
I tried to create the file in the bootstrap action by substituting the hostname so, in the worker nodes the ip_address_of_namenode is not the proper ip address, instead their own ip adress.

How to resolve this ?

  • Use the command at bootstrap or EMR step: hdfs getconf -namenodes
